Oakville, ON - Landmark Sport Group Inc., organizers of the Nutrience Oakville Half Marathon, are very excited to announce the first-ever Mutt Strutt 2K, in support of the Oakville & Milton Humane Society. The event will take place on Saturday, September 23rd at 5:00PM in Coronation Park, the evening before the Nutrience Oakville Half Marathon on Sunday, September 24th.
"We are very excited with the addition of the Mutt Strutt to Race Weekend," said Race Director, Brody Coles. "It will be great to have such a fun and unique event on the Saturday evening as a kick-off for the races on Sunday."
Participants will register with their pets for the Mutt Strutt 2K, and receive a participant bib, with dogs receiving their very own bandana and tail-wagging Swag Bag from Nutrience! In addition, all dogs crossing the finish line will receive a dog tag for completing the Mutt Strutt. Swag Bag and race bib pick-up for the event will be available from 10:00AM until 4:45PM at Coronation Park on Saturday, September 23rd.
"We can't wait to see all participants cross the finish line with their dogs," said Coles. "This will certainly be a fun evening, and we hope to see everyone at the start line!"
