New for 2018! The 5K/Nutrience Half Marathon Challenge is not for the faint of heart! Participants will take on two different events in one day, starting with the 5K Run/Walk, beginning at 7:00 AM, and followed by the Nutrience Half Marathon Run/Walk starting at 7:30 AM.
Participants who register for the 5K/Nutrience Half Marathon Challenge will receive one bib and timing chip to be used for both events. The 5K Run/Walk starts at 7:00 AM at 1450 Rebecca Street, just east of Third Line, and finishes at Coronation Park. Once you have finished the 5K Run/Walk at Coronation Park, go through the post-race food line, and re-fuel for the Nutrience Half Marathon, which starts at 7:30 AM on Lakeshore Road West, in front of Coronation Park. After you finish the Nutrience Half Marathon, you will be able to pick up a half marathon medal with a 5K/half marathon challenge ribbon. Do not pick up your 5K Run/Walk medal after you finish the 5K!
Participants must cross mat at the Nutrience Half Marathon line, or they will not be able to record a finishing time in the Nutrience Half Marathon.
If you are training for a fall marathon, this is the perfect opportunity to test your fitness, while practicing a different race plan, and getting used to experiencing the start and finish line atmosphere of a running event.
How to Register
You can register online for the 5K/Nutrience Half Marathon Challenge by clicking the "Register Here" button at the top of the page. Once on "Register" page, you can select either the HTG Sport Services or Running Room registration options, and select the "5K/Nutrience Half Marathon Challenge" to register for both event simultaneously.
You can also download, print and either mail in or drop off a registration form on the "Register" page. You can select the 5K/Nutrience Half Marathon Challenge on the printable form, and either mail it in to the address at the bottom of the form, or drop it off at our office at the same address.
